I am the student and the teacher, the soul and the body, I am paradoxical in these futile interpretational expressions of who I am. .and I am the mission. What it means to be me. And, what being me really means. All you really need to know is who you are. what you are. and then in the dissonance of this circular progression, this stillframed snapshot of energy in motion we call Life. And then you will know me. The secret is inside the desire. PASSION. Passion invokes action. Action, to act, make a choice. Choose awareness. Inaction is still an action. WILL. ABILITY. DESIRE. ...and that is all life asks of us, when we desire DREAMS MADE FLESH The point is always the point. I am mine. I am my crux. Destiny. Maybe we're not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is. What's REAL underneath it all, in the illusion, obscured by our false icons of pop-culture worship and masks of civility. Appreciating small victories. Admiring the struggle it takes simply to be human. To simply BE. Maybe we're thankful for the familiar things we know. And maybe we're thankful for the things we'll never know. At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate. The hardest thing in this world, really, is just to live in it. The trick is, you have to LIVE. Note: linguistic integrity, the subtle nuance in the definition, because the difference between what it means to LIVE and what it means to merely exist. Who I'd like to meet: people who make me laugh. someone who isn't afraid to tell the truth when it's supposed to hurt. people who can stand up for themselves no matter the cost. someone who loves a good heated argument/debate. you embody class. you're compassionate. passionate. you're not afraid to dream...but often you're pragmatic. when you think of me, you smile and maybe roll your eyes and make a funny comment. you're not afraid of endings. from time to time, you feel a bit restless and you can't quantify why. sometimes you feel like nobody understands you, but that's okay because every day you're getting to know yourself just a bit more. you're not afraid to fail miserably and pick yourself back up again. you're original. there's no one like you. connection in an isolating age. and there's just this thing you have, really this conviction of sorts...that you'll never let me push you away when what I'm feeling starts to scare me. You know that underneath it all, I'm fronting for this paralyzing fear that self-induced vulnerability breaks me every single time. And the sum is never greater than the parts...unless you're one of my kindred. SOULMATES.
